LONG TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM

The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program in South Carolina consists of Regional Certified Ombudsman who helps residents of Long Term Care Facilities (nursing homes, residential care facilities, disability and special needs homes) exercise their rights. In addition to advocating for the residents, they educate the public, family members, and facility staff about the various laws that are in place to protect residents living in LTC facilities.

Additional, LTC Ombudsman investigates complaints of abuse, neglect and exploitation on behalf of residents and help families resolve problems. All complaints are kept confidential!
