Housing Home | CDBG | HUD Home Program | State Housing Trust Program | Housing Department Staff

| • | The HUD HOME Program is administered by the SLRCOG housing staff in collaboration with the Sumter County HOME Consortium. The HOME Consortium membership includes all municipalities in the Santee-Lynches Region. The Consortium receives an annual allocation from HUD in the spring of each year. A portion of this funding is divided between each of the four counties for housing activities that include: • Housing rehabilitation • Housing replacement |
| • | Eligible units considered for rehabilitation under this program must be home-owner occupied by low to moderate income individuals and must be located in the Santee-Lynches Region. |
| • | Eligible units are incorporated into the HOME program waiting list for each respective county on a first come first serve basis. |
| • | Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO’s) can apply annually for HOME set aside funding for housing activities in the Santee-Lynches Region. A CHDO must be state approved to receive HOME funds. Information on how to apply to become a CHDO is available from housing staff. |
