Santee-Lynches is designated as an Economic Development District (EDD) by the U.S. Economic Development Administration. As an EDD, Santee-Lynches works with EDA, county economic developers, economic development alliances, and others to develop and maintain a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), which identifies needs and prioritized projects by category across the four-county region. Santee-Lynches also assists local governments in identifying, securing, and administering resources for a wide range of economic development activities including water and sewer facilities, downtown and/or streetscape improvements, community facilities improvements or construction, and workforce education and technology.
