Executive Director position opening

Santee-Lynches Regional
Council of Governments seeks an Executive Director. The agency is
multi-jurisdictional and provides technical assistance to local
governments for
transportation and transit planning, local and regional planning,
community
development, aging, environmental protection, workforce and economic
development, research and public administration of local, state and
federal
programs. A 29-member board appointed by member local governments
governs the
agency. The agency was established in 1971, has an operating budget in
excess
of $3 million (w/ pass through $7 million), a staff of 30 and serves
the
counties of Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter in South Carolina. The
position
requires a master’s degree in Public Administration and
Management, Urban and
Regional Planning, Public Organization or Finance, and a minimum of 10
years
of executive managerial experience in closely related fields. Annual
salary
range is $110,000-$135,000 dependent upon qualifications, with
excellent
