Seniors Raising Children Program

children and grandparents

Are you a grandparent who is the sole caregiver for children?

THE SENIORS RAISING CHILDREN PROGRAM IS HERE TO HELP!

The National Family Caregiver Support Program also recognizes the needs of grandparents who are the sole caregivers of children and those individuals who are affected by intellectual or developmental disabilities.

A grandparent must be 55 years or older and the primary caregiver of a child (18 or younger). Program sponsors the cost of Tutoring, After-School Programs, & Summer Camps for children, giving a break to the caregiver.

An assessment will be completed with the grandparent to help determine eligibility for services. Proof of residency for the child is also required to show their primary residence. This can be documentation from schools, medical offices or the state, showing the child's name and address.
